Stefano
Mazzacani:
the founder
behind the label

Stefano Mazzacani is central to the Oxyd story. Known in the label’s historical credits as Steph Mazzacani, he founded Oxyd and was listed on its original website as Managing Director and Head of A&R. Those roles placed him at the heart of the label’s musical direction and release activity.

Oxyd’s identity took shape through that work: finding music, developing a catalogue and connecting records with the people who played them. Its early website described an outlook that moved freely between classic house, electro, dance and pop. That breadth remains a useful way to understand the archive today.

Submit music to Stefano for consideration. Thanks and best of luck!

An Italian label
with international connections

Oxyd’s catalogue brings together artist projects, collaborations, remixes and Italian releases of international recordings. It documents a period when independent labels connected club culture across borders through vinyl, promotion and licensing.

Across its releases are names including Starchaser, Psycho Radio, Massive Lust, Morris T, Axwell, Eric Prydz, Freemasons and Sunfreakz. The catalogue also records vocal collaborations such as Dannii Minogue vs. Flower Power, Freemasons featuring Amanda Wilson, and Sunfreakz featuring Andrea Britton. Each record has its own story, credits and release history.

the journey

The archived Oxyd website from 2005 places Call on Me, Feel the Vibe, You Won’t Forget About Me and Alright alongside the label’s other releases of the period. Later catalogue entries include Proper Education and Pjanoo. Together, these records trace Oxyd’s place in the house and dance music landscape of the 2000s.
